Crystal lakes and beautiful mountain scapes are the predominant features surrounding the quaint city of Clemson, SC. A college town first and foremost, Clemson is home to Clemson University. Founded in 1898, the University is a legacy of Thomas Green Clemson, who willed his Fort Hill plantation home, its surrounding farmlands and forest and other property to the state of Scouth Carolina to establish a technical and scientific institution for Southh Carolina. Clemson opened it doors to 446 students as a military college in 1863.

The Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains are a perfect backdrop for Clemson and provide opportunities for most outdoor sports and activities.
